Ticket deals, free pass for military at sporting events

Members of the armed services will receive special discounts or free admission to Hawaii sporting events this week.

GOLF

All active and retired military with proper ID will be admitted free to this week's Fields Open in Hawaiši at Ko Olina Golf Club. The second official LPGA tournament of the year will be played Thursday to Saturday.

Advance daily tickets ($10) and season passes ($25) are available at First Hawaiian Bank branches, Ko Olina Golf Club and the Fields Open tournament office. Admission is charged Wednesday through Saturday.

BASEBALL

All active and reserve members of the Armed Services will receive two tickets for the price of one (maximum of eight per contest) for this week's University of Hawaii baseball series against nationally ranked Wichita State.

The three-game series against Wichita State will be Friday (6:35 p.m.), Saturday (6:35 p.m.), and Sunday (1:05 p.m.) at Les Murakami Stadium.

A valid military identification card must be presented when purchasing tickets in advance at Stan Sheriff Center Box Office or on game day at the Les Murakami Box Office.

Tickets are in special promotional sections and supply is limited.

On Friday, the first 1,000 fans will receive rally towels, compliments of game-sponsor Oceanic Time Warner Cable.

On Saturday, the first 1,000 fans will receive seat cushions, compliments of game-sponsor AutoTrader.com.
