Meth suspect charged, held without bail on Kaua'i

Kaua'i police are holding Byron Say without bail at Kaua'i Community Correctional Center after arresting him at a Kilauea residence on Friday on four outstanding bench warrants.

Say has been charged with methamphetamine trafficking, first degree promotion of a dangerous drug, two counts of second degree promotion of a dangerous drug, two counts of prohibited acts related to drug paraphernalia, third degree promotion of a dangerous drug, tampering with physical evidence and three counts of criminal contempt of court.

According to police, someone called on Friday and reported that Say was spotted in Hanalei.

Officers with the Narcotics Enforcement Unit responded to the call. They located Say in Hanalei and followed him to Kilauea. After attempting to flee on foot, Say was arrested in the driveway of a Kilauea residence. Patrol officers assisted with the arrest.
