Surf stand workers tip police to Waikiki theft incident

Police arrested a 28-year-woman in Waikiki yesterday after she was allegedly seen taking a bag that a 42-year-old man had left unattended while he went surfing.Police said workers at a nearby surfing concession stand reported seeing the women take the bag about 2:50 p.m. and carry it toward a nearby hotel.
Police said the woman was stopped and arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.
