Grant aims to help improve Native Hawaiians' health

Papa Ola Lokahi and a network of Hawaiian health organizations have been awarded a $100,000 planning grant by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to come up with strategies to improve the health of Native Hawaiians.The one-year planning process is expected to lay the foundation for OHA to commit its resources to programs that improve the health status of Native Hawaiians.
Taking part will be the Native Hawaiian Board of Health, Papa Ola Lokahi, the five Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems and the Native Hawaiian Scholarship Program.
