Analyst downgrades Boyd Gaming Corp. shares

Shares of Boyd Gaming Corp., owner of Vacations Hawaii and Las Vegas hotels popular with local residents, was downgraded to ``underperform'' from ``outperform'' by analyst Jake Balzer at Guzman & Company, according to Bloomberg News.Boyd Gaming yesterday said income from continuing operations rose to $55.6 million, or 63 cents a share, in 2006's last three months. It compared to a profit of $25.8 million, or 28 cents per share, in the similar period a year earlier.
