Two women were arrested in separate incidents yesterday in connection with attempts to pass counterfeit bills, police said.

  • A 31-year-old woman was arrested yesterday after she allegedly tried to pay her rent at a transitional housing complex in Honolulu by using counterfeit $100 bills, police said

A 29-year-old woman who was collecting the rent money told police the woman had tried to use the counterfeit bills on three prior occasions as well.

Police then arrested the suspect on suspicion of four counts of first-degree forgery.

  • A 47-year-old woman was arrested at an 'Ewa Beach restaurant yesterday afternoon after she allegedly tried to pay her bill with a counterfeit $50 bill.
