Bumper-to-bumper backups at Middle Street merge

Advertiser Staff

Town-bound traffic remains heavy on H-1 Freeway through Waipahu and Pearl City this morning, but now opens up after passing the Ka'ahumanu Street overpass.

The pace of kokohead-bound traffic remains steady until the Middle Street merge, where it's bumper-to-bumper.

The congestion remains in through Kalihi, Liliha and on into the downtown exits and remains solid until well past the Ward Avenue overpass.

Kalaniana'ole Highway is clogged this morning, with town-bound lanes stacking up back to West Hind Drive in Wailupe.

One bright spot for commuters: Traffic along the Pali Highway is moving at a smooth pace.
