Advertiser Staff

Producer Charles Michael Brotman, winner of the first best Hawaiian music album Grammy in 2005, and ki ho'alu guitarists Sonny Lim and Jeff Peterson will be featured on National Public Radio's "On Point" program on Monday.

The hour-long interview conducted by "On Point" host Tom Ashbrook will be broadcast on NPR stations in more than 100 cities nationwide.

The entire two-hour-long "On Point" program will be made available for download as a podcast at www.onpointradio.org. "On Point" is currently not on the programming schedules of Hawaii Public Radio stations KHPR-FM and KIPO-FM.

Brotman won the best Hawaiian music album Grammy as producer of the multi-artist instrumental compilation "Slack Key Guitar, Vol. 2." Brotman, Lim and Peterson contributed individual tracks to the disc.

The interview is expected to focus on Big Island-based Palm Records' recording projects, artists and current Mainland slack-key guitar concert tour.

Originating from Boston, "On Point" is broadcast live and features interviews with newsmaking politicians, musicians, writers and journalists.
