Gusty trade winds winding down, showers on the way
Advertiser Staff
The gusty trade winds we've been experiencing most of the past week are expected to weaken over the next few days as a high-pressure area far north of the state moves off to the east and weakens, according to the National Weather Service.Until then, the clouds and rain squalls generated by the winds will affect mainly the Windward and mountain sections of most islands, forecasters said. Some locally heavy showers may appear tomorrow and Saturday as a weak upper-level low-pressure system develops over much of the state.
The low is expected to move away by Sunday, with more typical trade wind weather returning early next week.
