Dog to help sick kids at Kapi'olani Medical Center

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children welcomes the latest addition to its staff: a 1 1/2-year-old golden retriever named Tucker.Tucker received his training from the Hawaii Canines for Independence and began work as a resident therapy dog at the hospital in February.
He's been trained to assist with therapy for sick children.
Tucker is the second resident therapy dog to join the staff at local hospitals this year. Simba, a 70-pound golden retriever, started work at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific on Feb. 6.
