"We have an interest in each other, and we'll see where it goes from there," said Glanville, 65.
Glanville said he arrives in Portland Sunday and will have face-to-face interviews with PSU officials Monday and Tuesday.
He is scheduled to leave Portland Wednesday.
Like all UH assistant football coaches, Glanville has a one-year contract that expires March 31.
He was head coach of two NFL teams Houston Oilers and Atlanta Falcons before going on a 12-year hiatus, during which he worked as a TV football analyst and race car driver and owner.
Until today, Glanville had declined to comment on the situation.
