At 9:10 p.m., the radar indicated very heavy rains capable of producing flash flooding along a line extending from six miles southwest of Kapa'a to six miles north of 'Oma'o to Koloa, or along a line extending from eight miles northwest of Lihu'e to nine miles west of Lihu'e to eight miles southwest of Lihu'e.

The area of heavy rain was nearly stationary.

Rainfall rates of up to 4 inches per hour were indicated by radar several miles north of Po'ipu.

Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to Princeville, Moloa'a, Kipu Falls, Wailua, Puhi, Lihu'e, Kilauea and Anahola.

A flash flood warning means flash flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas.

This warning may need to be extended beyond 12:15 a.m. if flash flooding persists.
