A man with six prior convictions arrested Thursday in Wahiawa after a witness spotted him driving a vehicle stolen from a relative was charged Saturday with auto theft, burglary, weapon, and drug counts.

Jacob Roy Hoopai Jr., 24, of a Wilder Avenue address, was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Hoopai also has three parole revocation warrants totaling $20,000.

Police arrested Hoopai fronting 1279 Neal Ave. at 2:50 p.m. after tracking him from Mililani, where the stolen vehicle was seen.

Police said evidence was recovered from burglaries Thursday in Mililani.
