Boise State has football schedule set

Associated Press

BOISE, Idaho — Coming off a perfect 13-0 campaign and Fiesta Bowl victory, the first part of Boise State's 2007 football schedule is set.

The non-league portion of Boise State's schedule was completed today when the school announced a home-and-home series with Southern Mississippi.

The Broncos will host the Golden Eagles at Bronco Stadium on Sept. 22 as part of a 13-game schedule, with Boise State traveling to Hattiesburg, Miss., for the second-half of the series in 2008.

Boise State will open the season on Aug. 30 at home against Division 1-AA Weber State, and then travel to Washington on Sept. 8. The Broncos will host Wyoming on Sept. 15 and travel to Bowling Green on Sept. 29.

The Western Athletic Conference portion of the Broncos schedule has yet to be set. Boise State will host Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico State and San Jose State, and travel to Hawai'i, Fresno State, Louisiana Tech and Utah State. Because the Broncos travel to Hawai'i, they are allowed to play a 13th game under NCAA rules.
