Advertiser Staff

A wildlife biologist who has spent 16 seasons living and working in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands conducting field research on monk seals will be giving a presentation from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the University of Hawai'i.

Brenda Becker of the National Marine Fisheries Service will discuss the monk seals' life history, working in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands and how people can get involved in assisting with monk seals in the main Hawaiian Islands.

Her presentation is free and open to the public. It will be held at UH Manoa's St. John lab building (Botany Building), in room 011 in the ground floor auditorium.
