HALE'IWA
Turtle Bay's plans on agenda

Advertiser Staff

The North Shore Neighborhood Board will be considering action concerning proposed development at Turtle Bay Resort at a 7 p.m. meeting tomorrow at Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach Park.

The project, to build up to five hotels, has generated controversy on the North Shore between those who believe that up to 2,500 more hotel rooms would change the rural community and those who believe it would stimulate the area economy and create needed jobs.

The board also will hear presentations on sewage treatment on the North Shore and on a possible racetrack.
