Star of Honolulu's anniversary 50-cent cruise sells out

Tickets for a 50-cent whale-watching cruise being offered to kama'aina and military personnel to celebrate the Star of Honolulu Cruises & Events' 50th anniversary sold out yesterday within hours of the event's initial announcement.

The cruise will take place at 8 a.m. March 11. The ship can hold 1,500 people.

The two-hour cruise aboard the award-winning Star of Honolulu will offer coastline views and the opportunity to spot humpback whales, spinner dolphins and other marine life. Hawaiian music and light refreshments will also be provided.

The Star of Honolulu departs from Aloha Tower Marketplace, Pier 8.
