Moped rider critically injured in Kaimuki

A teenager was critically injured in a collision today between a moped and sport utility vehicle that closed Wai'alae Avenue to traffic in both directions between Koko Head and 13th avenues.Police said the collision was reported at 6:50 p.m.
The boy operating the moped was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, according to city Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.
