Robert Clarke to join geothermal power company

Former Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. Chief Executive Officer Robert Clarke will join the board of Ormat Technologies Inc.Clarke, who retired from HEI last May, will serve as a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee for Ormat, which owns and builds geothermal power plants worldwide.
Ormat is the owner of the Puna Geothermal Venture, which provides power for some 30,000 Big Island homes and businesses using geothermal power.
