Kalaniana'ole traffic backed up nearly to Hawai'i Kai

Advertiser Staff

Morning traffic is moving at about the normal pace for a Tuesday morning.

As of 7:30 a.m., H-3 Freeway was largely cleared out through the Waipahu-Pearl City-'Aiea corridor. The flow moves right along until the Middle Street merge, which is bumper to bumper.

Traffic remains heavy through the downtown exits and opens up a bit after the Kina'u Street off-ramp.

It's another slow morning on Kalaniana'ole Highway, with the backup extending past the point where the highway merges into Lunalilo Freeway. There have been reports this morning that traffic is slow on Kalaniana'ole almost all of the way back to Hawai'i Kai.

Traffic heading into town from Kailua on Pali Highway begins to stack up prior to Waokanaka Street.
