The University of Hawai'i yesterday earned double rewards.

Following a 7-1 road trip, the Rainbow Wahine (12-2) were picked No. 24 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top-25 Poll. It is their first national ranking since 2003.

What's more, pitcher/first baseman Kate Robinson was named the Western Athletic Conference's Hitter of the Week.

Robinson, a junior from Honolulu, hit .556 with three home runs and seven RBIs in three games last week. Robinson hit five home runs during the eight-game road trip.

"It's a nice honor," Robinson said.
