Blood drive Thursday at Manoa Marketplace

By Catherine E. Toth
Advertiser Urban Honolulu Writer

Save three lives by donating a pint of blood at a drive on Thursday at Manoa Marketplace.

The Blood Bank of Hawai'i's bloodmobile will be at the shopping center from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Every day in Hawai'i hundreds of patients rely on volunteer blood donors for survival. Typical uses for the donated blood include surgical procedures, treatment of accident victims, ulcers, anemia, mothers and newborns during delivery, and cancer therapy.

To donate, you must be in good health, at least 18 years old and weight at least 110 pounds.

Appointments are recommended.

Call 845-9966 or visit www.bbh.org.
