New Web site focuses on 'healthy' Big Island vacations

The Hawaii Island Wellness Travel Association launched a new Web site aimed at helping travelers plan healthy vacations on the Big Island.The Web Site is www.wellnesstravelhawaii.com.
Founded in October 2006, HIWTA is an alliance of health and wellness practitioners and hospitality providers located on the Big Island with a mission of helping direct the sustainable development of wellness travel there.
Members include health, wellness and cultural practitioners, owners of retreats, spas, bed and breakfasts and vacation rentals, ecotourism businesses, health food stores and other allied interests. HIWTA's members are supported with education and training, standards and guidelines, networking, media outreach, marketing and more.
