Microsoft to brief local businesses on Windows Vista

Microsoft Across America Tour Visit Offers Local Businesses First Look at Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

HONOLULU – February 26, 2007 - On Thursday, March 1 the Microsoft Across America tour will stop at the Pacific Beach Hotel from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to give local business representatives their first look at Windows Vista, the 2007 Microsoft Office system, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. Through a series of free seminars specifically designed for the Honolulu business community, attendees will learn how these products connect people to information, enable productivity, reduce costs, and provide a more secure environment.

"The launch of Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is one of the most significant product roll-outs to come to market over the past ten years for Microsoft," said Donna Armstrong, Southern California Area General Manager, Small Midmarket Solutions & Partners Group. Through the Microsoft Across America tour, we're bringing the product knowledge to them, so they can quickly and easily learn about these new technologies. "

The new versions of Windows, Office and Exchange Server 2007 are the result of an unprecedented collaboration between Microsoft and its customers. Real-life scenarios guided product development through feedback from customers who volunteered to let Microsoft watch them work in more than 1 billion user sessions. During testing, customers from around the world downloaded more than 5 million beta versions of the products and provided valuable feedback and suggestions.

The event will include the following seminars aimed at a specific audience:

Small Business Track - Attendees will gain insight on how to use Vista, Office and Exchange to run a more efficient, connected and profitable small business.

Information Technology Professional Track - Attendees will learn about the features within Vista, Office and Exchange that will simplify deployment of these products within business organizations.

Microsoft Partner Track - Attendees will see live Vista, Office and Exchange demos and learn effective sales and support methods to build their businesses and make them more profitable.

Developer Track - Attendees will learn about the new features in Vista, Office and Exchange that let them create applications that help users communicate and collaborate in new and powerful ways.

IT Executive Track – Attendees will learn how to leverage the new software solutions within Vista, Office and Exchange to simplify their work, use information more effectively, improve security, and better manage IT costs.
