Head injury blamed in fatality near Kahana Bay pond

Advertiser Staff

A woman whose body was found Sunday near the fishpond at Kahana Bay died of blunt force trauma to the head, according to the city Department of the Medical Examiner.

The woman's death has been ruled a homicide and police are investigating the matter. Her partially clad body was found at about 2 p.m.

The woman has been tentatively identified but the Medical Examiner's office is withholding release of her name until it can be confirmed.

It may be some time until the woman's name is released because of difficulty in obtaining documents that would confirm identification, an investigator with the office said today.
