AAI Services Corp. said it received a $14.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to produce a maintenance trainer that will be used at Hickam Air Force Base. It earlier had received a contract for two trainers.

The aircraft engine maintenance trainer for C-17s is to be delivered in October 2010. The simulators enable technicians to develop skills through instructional programs, avoiding the cost of using operational aircraft, Hunt Valley, Maryland-based AAI Services said in a news release.
