Man dies in fall onto freeway at Kina'u

A 23-year-old man died today at The Queen's Medical Center after falling onto the H-1 Freeway from a nearby building.The man landed on a moving vehicle about 10:19 a.m., police said. Police closed the freeway's Kina'u Street off-ramp near Ward Avenue.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The medical examiner's office identified him as Matthew Smith.
Police classified the case as an unattended death, pending autopsy findings.
