Minako Ishii holds Girls' Day photo exhibit Friday

Photographer Minako Ishii, the author of the new children's book "Girls' Day/Boys' Day" from Bess Press, will hold a one-day exhibition of her work that captures the Japanese tradition celebrating children. The show will be in the Mendonca Building courtyard (1126 Smith St.) during the First Friday Gallery Walk, 5 to 9 p.m. She will also be signing copies of her book.
