Green House to hold kapa making workshop March 10

Hawaiian teacher and cultural expert Alyce Ikeoka will lead a two-part workshop on the art of kapa making at the Green House in Palolo. Students will hear Hawaiian tales about kapa, and learn the names of tools and materials and the conception and creation of the design process. Each person will make kapa using traditional tools and methods.The first session will be held 9 a.m. to noon March 10, the second will be 9 a.m. to noon April 7.
