Lutheran choirs to perform Lenten Bach vespers

The Lutheran Church of Honolulu's choir and compline choir will present "Bach Vespers for Lent," 7 p.m. March 11 at the church, 1730 Punahou St.Cantata Nr 10, "Mein Seel erhebt den Herren," and Cantata Nr 105, "Herr, gehe nicht ins Gericht" will be sung with the Bach Chamber Orchestra.
Soloists include Sarah Markovits and Georgine Stark, sopranos; Carl Crosier, alto; Ian Capps and Les Ceballos, tenors; and Timothy Carney, bass. Katherine Crosier, organist, will perform some of Bach's chorale preludes for the Lenten season.
