Two AAAAA Rent-A-Space facilities sold to Utah firm

Advertiser Staff

A Utah-based self-storage firm has disclosed that it is buying two AAAAA Rent-A-Space facilities in Hawai'i.

Extra Space Storage Inc. of Salt Lake City said the acquisitions are part of 13 self-storage properties in Hawai'i and California being bought from various limited partnerships for about $150 million plus the assumption of about $20 million in debt.

The company, which made the announcement as part of an earnings report yesterday, declined to identify the Hawai'i AAAAA sites. According to AAAAA's Web site, AAAAA has two facilities on Maui and one in Kapolei on O'ahu.

The purchase is subject to certain closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the second quarter.
