FREE CLASS

VIDEO GAMES, IN ALL SERIOUSNESS

Are video games an art form? The University of Hawai'i's Academy for Creative Media is hosting a free master class with University of Wisconsin-Madison professor James Paul Gee, who will talk about that in "Stories in Video Games: Toward a New Art Form" from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today at Kuykendall Hall, room 410. It's open to the public. Gee, the author of "Why Video Games Are Good for Your Soul," will also "argue that a key to how to deal with narrative in video games can come from work on human thinking and problemsolving in cognitive psychology," he said in a written statement.
