As a result, the aftermath of last night's fireworks will linger over the Islands.

Tradewinds will increase tomorrow and an increase in showers is also expected, which will continue into the week and help rid the smoke.

Right now, however, very few rain gauges show any precipitation, and the only showers expected this morning are over the windward side of the Big Island.

Today: Mostly sunny with scattered showers, highs 72 to 80 with east winds 10 to 15 mph and a 50 percent chance of rain.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny with scattered showers, highs 72 to 79, east winds 10 to 15 mph, chance of rain is 50 percent.

Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, lows 62 to 69, east winds 10 to 15 mph.
