Former UH punter McBriar finished No. 1 in NFL

Former University of Hawaii punter Mat McBriar of the Dallas Cowboys finished the season as the NFL's best punter.McBriar, an all-Western Athletic Conference punter in 2002, averaged 48.2 this season on 56 punts, which included one that traveled 75 yards.
McBriar was named to the Pro Bowl team.
The next best punter was Oakland's Shane Lechler, who averaged 47.5 yards.
