Limited road work resumes today

Many areas are still getting a break from roadwork this week.

Some areas where you'll need to drive with extra caution:

Work will close lanes on Pu'uloa Road

Lanes will be closed on Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard in both directions tomorrow through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shoulder lanes on both sides of Pu'uloa Road will also be closed during these hours for utility work.

Kamehameha project continues near Pearl Harbor

A right lane will be closed on Kamehameha Highway (outbound) between Radford Drive and Halawa Drive tomorrow through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for bikeway construction.

Farrington project in Waipahu ongoing

Lanes will be closed on Farrington Highway in Waipahu through Friday in both directions from Old Fort Weaver Road to Kamehameha Highway for utility cover adjustments and pavement striping.

Work in the eastbound lanes is scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. Work in the westbound lanes will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.

Major highway construction projects will be postponed today on the following:

  • H-1, H-2 and H-3 freeways

  • Kalaniana'ole Highway from Kahala Mall to Lunalilo Home Road

  • Kamehameha Highway from Acacia Road to Valkenburgh Street

    Kamehameha Highway from Kane'ohe to Kahuku

  • Nimitz Highway/Ala Moana Boulevard from Valkenburgh Street to Kalakaua Avenue

  • Kalihi Street/Likelike Highway from Nimitz Highway to Kamehameha Highway

  • Pali Highway/Kalaniana'ole Highway/Kailua Road from Vineyard Boulevard to Kailua town

  • Vineyard Boulevard from Palama Street to Punchbowl Street

  • Moanalua Freeway

  • Kahekili Highway

    Lane closures for highway construction projects at these locations will resume tomorrow.

    Highway work that does not involve lane closures, such as shoulder maintenance and landscaping work, may still be scheduled.

    Emergency road closures may also be scheduled when necessary.
