Wind advisory issued for Big Island summits

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Haleakala Summit and the Big Island summits until 6 this morning.A high-pressure system just north of the state continues to produce strong winds over the summits.
A wind advisory means sustained winds of 30 mph and higher are expected. Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution.
