Second Honolulu 'Prairie Home Companion' program airs tomorrow

The second "A Prairie Home Companion" program filmed in Honolulu in November will be broadcast tomorrow.

Danny Carvalho, Puamana and Na Pali will be the local luminaries heard over the KHPR 88.1 Honolulu airwaves at 6 p.m. Also broadcasting the show: KKUA 90.7 Wailuku and KANO 91.1 Hilo. It will be rebroadcast at 6 p.m. Sunday on KIPO 89.3 Honolulu (KIPO is also streamed at the HPR Web site, www.hawaiipublicradio.org.

The first Nov. 11 performance at Blaisdell was broadcast live nationally, starring Garrison Keillor and his regular company. Hawai'i artists were Na Pali, with Carlos Andrade, Pat Cockett, Fred Lunt and Pancho Graham; Puamana, with Luana McKenney, Aima McManus, and Mihana Souza; singer and steel guitarist Owana Salazar, and Danny Carvalho, the 15-year-old slack-key guitarist who made his first national radio appearance the first time that "From the Top" came to Honolulu.
