Mike Wilton, head coach of the University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team, has agreed to terms of a three-year deal, the school announced Friday evening.

Wilton, in his 15th season at UH, agreed to the deal, which is retroactive from July 1, 2006. The contract runs through June 30, 2009. He had been working without a contract May 2005.

The terms and details of the contract will be released when it is signed by all parties.

"I am happy that we have come to closure on a new contract for Mike Wilton," UH athletic director Herman Frazier said in a statement.

Wilton is 283-119 during his career at Hawai'i.
