Man killed in Nu'uanu Valley car wreck identified

Advertiser Staff

A Honolulu man died this morning after a traffic accident at Luakini Street and Jack Lane in Nu'uanu Valley. The Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Harry Kozuma, 73.

Police said Kozuma was driving east on Luakini, veered off the road and hit a concrete and tile wall at a residence on Jack Lane. The car went through the wall, across the yard, hit another wall and a carport before stopping.

He was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital at 8:06 a.m.

It was not know if speed or alcohol were factors. Kozuma may have had a medical condition that caused the accident, police said.
