Maui mayor extends applications deadline to Jan. 31

Maui Mayor Charmaine Tavares has extended the deadline for applications submissions from Maui County residents for appointments to Maui County Boards and Commissions until Jan. 31.

"I invite our citizens to become more involved in our community and these boards and commissions play an important role in the planning, operations and future of our county," Tavares said. "The people of Maui County deeply care about our community and the members of our boards and commissions bring new ideas and innovative thinking to county government. I am extending the deadline for applications until Jan. 31 to offer the opportunity to members of our community who may not have participated before but who are very much interested in the future of our community."
