Flood advisory issued for Windward O'ahu

The National Weather Service issued a three-hour flood advisory for Windward O'ahu tonight at 7:15 p.m. due to heavy early evening showers.Lead forecaster Maureen Ballard said the Punalu'u pump gauge registered over an inch of rainfall in 30 minutes.
O'ahu Civil Defense spokesman John Cummings said volunteers are monitoring the situation in Hau'ula and Honolulu Fire Department personnel are alerting residents in flood-prone areas of poitential problems. There have been no evacuations, said Cummings.
The entire state is under a flood watch through Wednesday.
