Nimitz lane closures to begin tonight

Starting tonight, crews will close one lane in each direction on Nimitz Highway between Fort and Richards streets in preparation for a resurfacing project.The nightly closures are set for 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday.
Also, drivers should expect intermittent daytime lane closures on Nimitz Highway tomorrow through Friday for underground utility work.
The Nimitz Highway resurfacing project will start in May and involve multiple lane closures. The project is expected to be completed in January 2008.
