City to honor in media ads our 'environmental heroes'

The city Department of Environmental Services will run television, print and radio ads to showcase neighborhood "environmental heroes."The spots, which are expected to run over the coming months, will recognize people who inspire environmentally friendly activities and awareness.
The names of the heroes to be featured have not yet been released, and the city has not said when the ads will start. But officials did say the spots are part of a larger campaign to bring attention to environmental sustainability.
