Flash-flood watch in place through Wednesday

Advertiser Staff

A flash-flood watch is in effect for all Hawaiian Islands through Wednesday afternoon.

Weather Service officials are warning that prolonged rain, especially thunderstorms, could saturate the soil, fill reservoirs and raise stream levels, all of which could produce local flash flooding.

A flash-flood watch is issued when Weather Service officials believe flooding is possible but not imminent.

Today will be mostly cloudy, with likely showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Winds are out of the southeast winds at 15 mph.
