Greg Brenneman named president and CEO of Quiznos

Greg Brenneman, who spearheaded the failed merger of Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, has been named president and CEO of Quiznos.The Denver-based sandwich chain today appointed Brenneman to replace Richard Schaden, who will remain as chairman of Quiznos. Quiznos also said that Brenneman's firm, TurnWorks Inc., has taken an ownership stake in the company.
Brenneman was chief executive of Burger King from August 2004 to April 2006. Brenneman headed attempts to merge Aloha and Hawaiian shortly after the 9/111 attacks, but the deal fell apart in 2002.
