KEEP IT SIMPLE

NEAT AND TWEEN
Hoping your tween will keep a neater bedroom this year? Try setting some rules, says Tara Aronson, author of "Mrs. Clean Jeans' Housekeeping With Kids." Here are a few she suggests to get you started:

  • Put away CDs, toys, etc. nightly. Or no more new ones.
  • You must make your bed before leaving your bedroom.
  • Give new arrivals a permanent home.
  • Never stuff stuff. Anywhere. Period. This includes under the bed and into a closet.

    FINAL WORD

"We could learn a few things from our dogs. ... One of my dogs is always telling me to take a break and enjoy life. After all, what could be easier than living in the moment?"
