Four Sony Open spots up for grabs in today's qualifier

Advertiser Staff

Play continues today for four spots into this week's Sony Open in Hawai'i.

The qualifier, which was postponed Monday because of weather, will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Makaha Resort.

Only 15 of the nearly 80 golfers completed their rounds Monday.

The lowest four scores will qualify for the Open, the PGA Tour's first full-field event of 2007. The 72-hole tournament will begin Thursday at Waialae Country Club.

The Sony field already includes eight of the top 10 from last year's money list.

The qualifying is made up of local pros and amateurs, PGA and Nationwide Tour players and golfers from Canada, Japan, South Korea and Australia
