East Honolulu water main punctured; conservation urged

Advertiser Staff

Residents from Kapahulu to Hawai'i Kai are being asked to limit water use following a water main break in Kapahulu this afternoon.

The Board of Water Supply said a contractor working on its Diamond Head booster station on Kapahulu Avenue punctured a 24-inch-diameter main at about 2:30 p.m. today.

The booster station was shut down. Residents from Kapahulu to Hawai'i Kai may notice a drop in water pressure while crews repair the main.

Residents are urged to limit water consumption to essential needs through this evening.
