Report: Beckham to leave Real Madrid after season

Bloomberg News

David Beckham, soccer's No. 2 earner, will leave Real Madrid when his contract expires after this season in June, Sky Italia reported, citing the team's sports director Predrag Mijatovic.

Beckham's spokesman, Simon Oliveira, and Madrid's press office didn't immediately return calls seeking comment.

Midfielder Beckham, 31, and striker Ronaldo were today among six players omitted from Madrid's squad to play at Real Betis in the Spanish Cup tomorrow.
