Sony Open: Donald leads with 7-under 63

Luke Donald, No. 9 on the 2006 PGA Tour money list, is the clubhouse leader with a 7-under-par 63 in in the first round of the Sony Open in Hawaii at Waialae Country Club.Four others — Daisuke Maruyama, Shane Bertsch, Heath Slocum, and Jeff Sluman — finished with 4-under 66s.
No Hawaii golfers — Dean Wilson, Parker McLachlin, Michelle Wie, Tadd Fujikawa, Kevin Hayashi, Abe Mariano and David Chin — are in contention.
The 144-player field will be cut top the top 70 players and ties after Friday's second round at the par-70, 7,044-yard course.
